Fragments of paintings in various large formats are cut to the same size and proportion, like pages from a notebook containing thoughts and words, here dissolved in the typical abstract language of the Norwegian painter.
With a more intimate and introverted character than her large-format works, these details, chosen and preserved from the discarded original, suggest reflection and departure, opening up a path of vulnerability and transition revealed in the gesture of preservation.

Her searching for language is accompanied in this special edition by the words of American poet Tess Brown-Lavoie whose recent chapbook Proprietary Method / June July, published by Cutt Press offers a voice running parallel to the impressions she experienced during a visit to the artist’s studio.
