Ahmad Al-Adawi’s artworks draw from the personal and collective experiences of Palestinians under siege. His works reflect moments in the lives of individuals who find themselves between death and life, and destruction and resistance. He reveals the inner life of people through their faces and actions in focused compositions. Each artwork expresses the life experience and humanity of a person and becomes a witness to the Palestinian collective memory.
Ahmad Al-Adawi (b. 1993, Gaza; displaced in Gaza) started as an illustrator, and his artworks use a clear and impactful artistic language to show raw images of fear and pain, but also tenderness, strength, and the tenacity to survive.
