Displacement means carrying one’s home in different ways, an idea that Maysa Bardaweel expresses in her collages and videos. The shattered home lives on through poetry, memory, and in the heart. The tent is now both Maysa Bardaweel’s studio and the living space for her family: somewhere to seek safety with her children amidst the Israeli onslaught but also to continue her artistic practice. Against the constant threat and psychological stress of humming drones, the tent provides a temporary refuge where life and work endure through small moments of relief.
